Bobby Petrino owns Kentucky football. He is 5-0 against Wildcats as a Louisville coach, and Coach Petrino even beat The Kentucky Wildcats and Mark Stoops as a coach at Western Kentucky just a few seasons ago. The only loss Bobby has against the Lexington team was by a single point 21-20 in 2008 when he was the coach at Arkansas.
Today’s Louisville Cardinals seniors have never lost to Kentucky. Petrino said.
“That’s something they take pride in and something they’d like to accomplish,”
This Bobby Petrino domination is very frustrating to the Big Blue fans, players and coaches on the Kentucky team, Last year they let that frustration show as they tried a shameful attempt at starting a fight with the Louisville team and even the fans before the game even got started. The Kentucky Shame Facebook page poked fun at the Kentucky football team pretty hard after they lost that game last year.
Coach Petrino knows his players must deal with the noise factor created by Kentucky fans today. He said
“I think you just have to focus and concentrate and not let the outside influences distract you. That’s part of being a football team that can go play on the road and win games on the road. We have some advantages in the fact that we opened the season in Atlanta at Auburn in a huge atmosphere with a loud, loud crowd. We played at Florida State. It shouldn’t be unfamiliar to us,”
