The Louisville Cardinals will go into Charlottesville tonight being a 8 point underdog against ACC leader Virginia. It’s the largest point spread Louisville has had against them in several years.
The Cards will try and tighten the gap in the current ACC standings tonight against the Virginia Cavaliers at John Paul Jones Arena. The game was originally scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start, but was moved to a 7:00 p.m. tipoff and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Statistically, Virginia is the best defensive team in college basketball. Yes even better than Kentucky.
The ACC standing for Louisville will make a shift from tonight’s game if the Cardinals win they will join the top of the ACC standings with the other two loss teams. However, if they lose the game, the three loss ACC teams are many.
