Katina Powell calls her daughter “Shay” in her book “Breaking Cardinal Rules” where she mentions Shay 48 times. In the book, she describes her daughter as, “my prize possession, my beautiful creation,”
Little Shay was only 15 years old in 2010, and the book says she participated in shows at the University of Louisville. Shay’s legal name is Abraeshea Moorman, and she is facing a misdemeanor prostitution charge from a citation issued on June 19, 2014. The citation says that an undercover detective investigating human trafficking investigation at the Holiday Inn in Louisville contacted Katina’s daughter through an escort advertisement on Backpage.com. Shay asked the officer for “150 roses” (wich means $150 in hooker lingo) upon his arrival to her hotel room.
Her mother introduced her to prostitution and drugs at a very early age. When she was only 16 years old, her mother let her smoke marijuana at a Christmas event in 2011. That start of drug use has grown and now Shay calls herself “Cocaine Chloe” on Facebook.
KatinaPowell said in a journal entry in her book.
“Yeah, maybe I’m crazy, but I let Shay smoke on Christmas, I know, I know, but she’s always treated so differently. And did we honestly think that with all of us smoking that she wouldn’t be the least bit interested? I feel a little bad because I don’t want her to form a habit. We do it and expect our kids not to do it. Wrong message. I know my child. She’s a bit confused right now but she will get through this phase and develop into a beautiful, confident young woman. With a job.”
Katina Powell claims she prostituted herself and her daughter Shay in July of 2014 when the two of them visited Louisville recruit Antonio Blakeney and his guardian at a hotel in Louisville. Katina Powell claims that her daughter had sex with Blakeney while she took care of his guardian.
