The Downtown Development Committee has just approved the plans for Louisville’s $300-million Omni Hotel, This project will add thousands of new jobs to the Louisville area. The new skyscraper will have a 30 story tower and 600 luxury hotel rooms on the lower levels, it will also have 225 high-end apartments on the upper levels.
The complex surrounding the tower will include a 20,000-square-foot grocery store, along with a bakery, coffee shop, and deli. The designers describe the project as “a modern urban lifestyle market”.
The first three levels will be open to the public and include retail shops, restaurants, and ballroom/meeting spaces.
Only the National City Tower at 40 stories and the 400 W. Market building at 35 stories will be taller than the new Omni Hotel.
