The post at Louisville Sports Live by Nick Burch – Petrino’s Shame: How Louisville Went from Playoff Contender to Overrated Disappointment found here.
Fair weather fans. Ha! I will wager Petrino is a far better coach than Nick Burch is a writer, or at least a spell checker. Much more successful to be sure.
Easy to criticize from the comfort of a keyboard. When Nick here can show us he can do it better or at least do something other than whine about losing and type out long winded blogs about what everyone else is doing wrong then I might give him some credence. I suppose it was Petrino who tipped the ball to UK. It was Petrino who dropped the ball in the end zone. Petrino committed the fumble too when he wasn’t playing the offensive line, defensive line and the secondary simultaneously. Blame the coach, not the mistakes made on the field or a competent UK squad tired of being handed their a** by Petrino’s Cards. Pathetic piling on at a time when fans need it the least.
I remember when 1500 for a UofL football game was a good crowd and you could get free tickets for buying Chek Cola at your local Convenient Food Mart or with the purchase of a Royal Meal at Burger Queen. I’ll take 9 – 3, a bowl game, Papa Johns Stadium with tens of thousands of fans and to be in the playoff discussion nearly the entire season over that every day of the week Nick. The difference between how well Petrino does his job and how you do yours could be measured in light years, and not in your favor.
Find a better theme than crybaby whining mode. Try that spell and grammar check before hitting “Enter Post” next time. Being competent with basic writing skills would, in fact, make it so much nicer for those who read your drivel. No more for me thank you. You have given me my fill and then some of fair weather fans and local sportswriters whose only contribution is vitriolic nonsense.
