I saw a “reporter” did get an interview with this lovely woman. Hearing that McGee has passed some scrutiny by FBI ExAgents assigned to investigate this farce, Minardi Hall has no record or video of any of these parties and the only documentation Powell has a handwritten journal whose entries and records of financial dealings were scratched out in one sitting I was hoping her dismantling would begin.
Then I read this by the “reporter”…”I write for IBJ, which is a sister company of the publisher, IBJ Book Publishing.” Also, this interview was done long ago which tells us all his bosses who published this trash paid him to ignore facts.
Even Co-author Cady, who claims he’s a Pulitzer Prize Winner on his merit but in truth the awarded went to multiple people at The Indy Star for a series on police corruption, is being paid by IBJ as well. Cady was not even the lead reporter on that series and claims he could have investigated this Powell story more. Also, he is unwilling to release her journals on which the book was written. We are supposed to take at her word that she kept meticulously records while being strung out on drugs, pimping out her daughters and turning tricks herself.

I think this woman is desperate, she has nothing but a habit and no future or past. She sees her chance to roll the dice like as done at Duke, UVA, Fla State, etc. and took a shot. If she loses, and I truly believe she will, what does she lose? She is a wretched woman whose actions will carry their punishment well into the hereafter.
But why, if Cady believed these lies were facts, why wasn’t CPS notified immediately? Why does she still have access to grandchildren? How and why after others rebuked this for what it was, did Pitino hater and IU Mega Booster, Millionaire Mickey “the Mouse” Maurer publish this with no tangible evidence through an LLC leaving himself and his millions protected from litigation? These are the men I want to suffer. They would condemn our players, coach, and University either through some animosity or greed. No member of the Louisville Media should let this rest until justice has been achieved for our players and our program. One of the best in the nation.
