Wow, That was quick, yesterday the news broke about the possibility of a book titled “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen,” and today the book got published.
We know the book makes accusations that a member of the Louisville basketball program paid escorts to dance and have sex with recruits and players. We all know what Katina Powell is claiming as she tries to get the big payday she was unable to get as a Louisville prostitute. So the big question is this. Does the book prove it happened?
NO! This book doesn’t prove anything; there’s no verified proof anywhere, no photos that show truth is being told what so ever.

Not the juicy tell-all you think it is
Not believable. All that fuss for this? Why is she not in any of the dorm room pictures? Why is she taking pictures of “Mcgee’s” license plate (very odd)? It seems maybe the basketball players slept with some girls, and she was sent the photos. Is there proof those pics were taken from her phone? Most of the pics were taken outside the dorm, and one was of Chane Behanan putting up an “L” for Louisville in the pic as if he was just taking it with some fan. Documents and journal entries prove nothing as those are simply just her words. Clearly she knew the players to some extent but it could have been very minuscule, absolutely no compromising photographs. Most players seemed not even to be mentioned but yet somehow they slept in the dorms while these “shows” went down? Way more to this story than is in this book. The main question is did those texts come from Andre McGee? Not extremely incriminating texts, nothing that would stand up if this were a criminal investigation. Save your money and read the media reports, most of it is about her and her life.
In the book’s final chapter, it quotes a statement it says it received from the university in response to a request for comment on the allegation:
“The University of Louisville has retained an outside expert to investigate allegations evidently contained in a book that IBJ Book Publishing, LLC has been asked to publish. The outside expert is aggressively reviewing this situation in full cooperation with relevant authorities, including the NCAA. The university notes that the publisher has provided sparse detail to date and repeats its request for additional detail to further the thoroughness of the investigation. If the investigation uncovers any misconduct by University employees, the University will deal with it swiftly and severely.”
