I didn’t want to acknowledge even this latest ACC sex scandal that along with Duke and UVA will be found without merit, but by then the damage will be done. A lot of people here asked, having covered and traveled with the CARDS what I thought.
I think it is beyond revolting. I find it suspicious that with official visits over the weekend from five-star forward T.J. Leaf and four-star guard Andrew Jones. They are two of the top players in the 2017 class. Wing players D.J. Harvey and guard Davion Mitchell, in town for unofficial visits as well. Indiana University Mega Booster Mickey Maurer, who BTW is also the chairperson of the limited liability company posting this fantasy life of a wannabe madam, decides it’s time to “digitally” release this farce?

The I.U. administration must know something, coming out with a denial that Crean or any of his staff knew nothing of this before the story was released. Funny how no one knew or ever heard anything about it before this woman went looking for a payday after she posted on her Twitter account that she didn’t care who gets hurt, she was going to get paid. I also find it suspicious that proven Card haters, ESPN is so ready to take the word of an admitted pedophilia pimp who would sell her daughters when absolutely no one else has ever heard of prostitute parties in Minardi Hall simply because she has B&W pictures with some players. (I have photos of myself with players across three decades, and I didn’t have sex with any of them.)
Do people who give this fairy tale any credibility ever hear of Pitino? Whether you hate him or love him the one thing beyond question is the man is a control freak. He is into every aspect of his staff’s lives. There is no way this could have gone on as long as this woman says with no one knowing about it. No way on this Earth. If Rick knew and believed anything like this was happening in the building he had named for his best friend and brother-in-law killed on 9/11, any player or staff member involved would quickly find themselves ex-Cardinals and ostracized from basketball for life.
After Duke LaCrosse, the Rolling Stone UVA false rape story and other pseudo-ACC sex scandals, I would have hoped this kind of story might be more thoroughly scrutinized and those allowed to issue such damaging statements be tightly vetted. Whether it’s true or not three things are certain. U of L recruiting just became a lot more difficult. Andre McGee will always have this around his neck. And this woman will get paid. Either by this publication or by her next one claiming she was used and manipulated by her publisher. Excellent lesson.
